Hydrocaephalus
UpdatedMy daughter is 9 years old and suffering from non-communicating hydrocaephalus since birth with a underdeveloped brain. Her mother stopped gaining weight during 7th month of pragnancy but the doctor and ultrasonography was unable to find the trouble during the concieve period.
At the age of 4 month of my daughter, her problem was detected by Dr. Apurba Ghosh by 3D scan and she was also referred to Cristian Medical College. Bhellore. There she was visited by Dr. Auri Chako who reconfirmed the dignosis and also in the opinion of not using shunt, whcih Dr. Apurba Ghosh also opined. Now at a age of 9 years my daughter is not able to speak, stand, eat, drink, and carry out any natural activity. She is too much hyperactive and sometimes spend sleepless days and nights together. We guess (as she's unable to express her feelings and pain) she's also having some uneasyness in her brain. She's prone to convulsion. Recently she has been adviced to switch to Levipil from Eptoin by Institute of Child Health, Kolkata. My question is, is there any treatment available, which may improve her condition?
