Hydralazine Vs Apresol Hydrochloride

My Dr. in the US has prescribed Hydralazine-only, without any combination of meds. In India where I have come from, Apresol tablets contain hydrochloride also. What does hydrochloride do? Can I take Apresol safely as an alternative to Hydralazine? If not, what Indian drug is equivalent to Hydralazine?

The Hydrochloride is not actually an additional ingredient. It just designates the specific chemical salt the medication was derived from, according to NIH reports.

Thus, it is really the same medication. The NIH lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination, and hypotension.
