Humira And Pregnancy
UpdatedI've been taking Humira for over a year now for Uveitis. I just found out I am expecting. Has anyone taken Humira throughout a pregnancy? If yes, were there any complications along the way? I am concerned about the unborn baby and would love some insight!

Humira (adalimumab) is classified under pregnancy category B. This means that animal reproductive studies have shown adverse effects to the fetus, however no adequate and well-controlled studies have been done in humans - and that depending upon your situation, the benefits may outweigh potential risk factors.
That all said, it may come down to discussing this more in depth with your prescribing doctor to help you make the most informed decision based on your medical history.
Hope this helps!
