Generally, it should be taken from the day you start your period and onward, one tablet a day, even when you aren't menstruating.

If you are asking about starting it, when you aren't on your period, you can do so, if your doctor approves, but you will need to use back up protection for the first full 7 days of taking it, such as a condom or spermicide.

The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, irritability, breakthrough bleeding and PMS-like symptoms.

1st timer to take diane-35.Im a irregular menstruation because I have polycystic ovaries and I'm 3 months delay but I'm not a pregnant. And my friend tell me to take a pills to regulate my cycle. Can I start taking Diane 35 on the second day of my menstrual cycle? I was instructed to take it on the first day, but since it felt like it was spotting, can I take it on the second day just to be sure?

I took the morning after pill a week before anything. After that i started bleeding and started diane 35, the bleeding was just for two days. As you know its 21 tablets. My question is am i protected? Was this bleeding actually my period? after taking the 21 tablets when do i start the next package? Im using it for cysts.. Thank you so much! First timer
