How To Get The Best "generic" Xanax Filled
(Newest replies first)

So after literally years of having to go from pharmacy to pharmacy to find one that either would or could regularly stock my preferred manufacturers of my medications. I, like I'm sure many of you out there, are very sensitive to the inactive ingredients that some companies use in their patent to make their version of the product, but after a decade's worth longitudinal study, I can say UNEQUIVOCALLY, based on my own personal empirical data, that the Greenstone LLC, 2mg Authorized Generics are in fact THE BEST XANAX YOU CAN GET. IT IS LITERALLY MOLECULARLY IDENTICAL TO THE BRAND NAME, AND A FRACTION OF THE PRICE. The best way to obtain it **HASSLE FREE** from the pharmacy, again based on my own empirical data, is to have your physician write on your paper prescriptions something to the effect of, "requires specific generics". It indicates to the pharmacist that your request has foundation and has been discussed with your physician prior to its arrival.

You are correct; it is not MEDICALLY BINDING, for the doctor to write "Specific Generic(s) Only" on your prescription, but in my personal experience, after dealing with several pharmacies that did nothing but hassle me, when I brought in my prescriptions with those words written on them by the doctor, it symbolized that I had already discussed my request with my doctor and was asking for a legitimate reason; not a salesman looking for his customer's favorite brand.
Eddy is correct, your doctor can specify that the brand name is medically necessary, but they can only list preferences, or recommendations for generic manufacturers, and the pharmacy is under no obligation to follow them. While some do try, many can't, because often they can only get the product that is being offered the cheapest through their distributor.
The FDA warns that Xanax/Alprazolam carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, irritability, and other mood changes.
I honestly wish I could get a specific generic for one of my medications, because most of them give me severe acid reflux, there are only a few that don't, but instead, I have to take an antacid, with it.
You are very funny. While your Doctor can specify 'Brand Name Only', they can't dictate what generic medicines you must have. Pennies are made on some generic medications, my last pharmacy wasn't even making enough to cover the empty bottle and their nominal charge for "Professional Services'. While I agree about Greenstone being a fine choice, there are many other brands that are just as good
