Ok so I have to take a hair drug test for a new job. They said it would go back a year and well I am freaking out right now because I took some methamphetamine (a very small amount) back in september of last year.

Captain America, I am not sure how much a gram is but my gut reaction is that you might be positive with that much use.

If your hair is 1.5 inches long, which is a 90 day history, I am still leaning towards it being positive. It depends on how strong the methamphetamine was and how your body metabolizes the drug, so it is not "cut and dry".

Ok hair test guy, I've read the entire thread so I know what the norm answer is, but I'm just checking with you. I've been clean 6 months. I relapsed on June 21-22nd with about .4 of methamphetamine and took about 5 roxy 30mg. I need to pass a hft in a few days. What do you think my odds are? Thanks in advance.

Hopefull, If you've been clean for 6 months and only did methamphetamine once and/or roxy it most likely won't show up. A hair drug test is meant to show consistent use over time.

I took methamphetamine about 2 weekends in a row and haven't had any for about 2 weeks; but i have a hair strand test today. Has this happened to anyone else taking that amount and passed?

I have to take a probation hair follicle test. If you don't take much methamphetamine at one time, what would be the quantity that would put you over the edge of a one-time-use? Like how much methamphetamine would you have to take in one day for it to show up in your hair? I have 30 days before taking the test.

To 'The hair testing guy' - Will I pass if the last time I took methamphetamine was on july 11 (and I had my hair bleached and colored) and I have a hair follicle test this Wednesday at 9am? I need help if anyone has an answer.

A hair drug test is meant to show consistent use over time. A 1.5 inch sample, cut at the scalp line, will go back 90 days. If you use methamphetamine a couple times a week it most likely will show up. Bleaching and coloring don't have that much of an affect on a hair test as a hair test looks for drugs on the inner shaft of hair. Next time you might consider doing your own anonymous hair test. It will give you a good idea where you are at.

Can you do an example of what can be a positive test on a hair follicle test please man I did once a week 3 time the same month only 4 hits every time and I have a test in 7 weeks from today !!! Am kind of worried

I was sober 5 years and the last month or so I have used quite a bit off and on . Just Found out I have a hair test in less than 7 days but haven't used for a week. What can i do to insure i pass this test I need help!!

Redhair, if someone was using on the weekends (recreational use) it might show up in a hair test. It's almost impossible for me to give you an idea of how much will make you show positive because there are to many things that enter into a hair test. Based on what you said in your post and when you have to take the hair test, I would say you have a 60% chance of passing if you don't do any more until the test. Just a wild guess.
