Is it okay to just throw away an outdated bottle of Iophen C-NR? How should I dispose of this and other similar medications?

The current FDA disposal instructions tell you to mix outdate medications in with some undesirable substance, such as used coffee grounds, dirty kitty litter, dish soap or the like. Place into a sealed container, such as a coffee can with lid and dispose of it with your regular household trash.
Alternatively, you can take expired medication to any local pharmacy and they will destroy them for you.

The FDA are *****s, and so are the Doctors who created the "opioid crisis" in the first place. Lets advise people to mix in dangerous chemicals or other substances to make the drug "less appealing". To whom? The junkies rummaging through the trash for a fix? What is that gonna do besides injure or kill someone? We are so far in the other direction with trying to fix this problem that unreasonableness once again, rules the day.
