Hello, my mom is 58 yr old and has recently recovered from ICH and still now recovering from hemipareisis. For bp control she has been prescribed ctd6.25 along with telmisartan 80 and nebivolol 5 mg. It has been 3 days and her bp is still not showing any improvement. How much time it would take. Also she feels dizzy and nausea. Will it go after some time or I shall ask doc to change the medication. Please help

It can take about 4 to 5 weeks for these medications to reach their full level of efficacy in the body to see if they will work to lower her BP, or not. If they do not, after that time period, you should inform her doctor.

And yes, the side effects should go away, after the same approximate time frame, once her body gets used to the medication. According to the NIH, she may also experience nausea, headache, and frequent urination.

Is there anything else I can help with?
