How Much Should My Pharmacy Be Charging For Ten Oxycodone/acetaminophen Tablets?

My Pharmacy wants to charge me $30, but I cannot afford $30 for my prescription so I was trying to talk the pharmacy down to like $10 for 10 pills. I'd just like to know how much they should be approximately so that I can know that the pharmacies are not overcharging me?

I'm sorry, but it depends on the pharmacy you use, their supplier, and where you live. There is no set pricing that anyone can quote you. Just as an example, we went to the pharmacy to pick up new prescriptions for my husband and after our insurance payment, it was still over $134. 2 of the medications were $74.99 each, at the original price. (None of them were controlled substances, either.)

You could try other pharmacies in your area, to see if they are any cheaper, but honestly on today's market $30 is very cheap.

I know this information is not really helpful, I am just trying to let you know how things current stand. Sadly, unlike many other countries, prices are not as well regulated here in the U.S.

The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation.

Have you informed your doctor of the issue? They might be able to prescribed a cheaper option.
