I was using heroin 2-3 times a day for a year. I quit heroin but continued to use pills. I recently could not get pills for about a week. I was extremely ill. So I said enough and went to a methadone clinic to quit everything. They said they would not treat me cause there was nothing in my blood or urine. I got some pills today and am going to clinic tomorrow. My question is how soon will they show up, and will 50 mg of hydrocodone and 20 mg of oxycodone be enough to "fail" the blood and urine tests to get in the program.

The amount you're taking is more than enough if you have a urine test the following day.
Hydrocodone alone can remain in your system for 1-6 days for a urine test; while Oxycodone can be present in urine for 2-4 days. A blood test however may only show Oxycodone present within 24 hours of your last dose.

I am having the same problem Chris. I've been hooked on pain pills of all sorts for 7yrs. Started taking suboxone 4 yrs ago and took it for 3 of those yrs then went back to pills. Fed up with all the b.s. that comes with the pills so tried a clinic today but came up negative for opiates. Took 6, 5 mg hydrocodones 2 days ago and still came up negative. So I got 6, 7.5 hydrocodone and 4, 5 mg hydro today and saving 2 for an hr before my test tomorrow. Should I test positive to get into the program? I really need this program I can't do it alone!

you can go to a suboxone doctor you just tell them that you take pills and you want to get clean. let them know that your going through with drawls and they will put you on suboxone. they don't give drug test unless they think you relapsed.I've been going for two years and have never had a drug test. Doctor's name and clinic is fritz clinic its in Homewood Alabama .its a lot better then getting on methadone its withdrawals aren't as bad if any at all. 205-877-8585 there great!! its 150.00 each visit which is out of pocket but its worth it. each strip is $ 8-$12 depending on which pharmacist you go to. Homewood pharmacy is the cheapest I've found .Good luck to you and god bless.

I took 1 7.5 hydro 1 day before a urine test and drunk water and took a home urine test the day of the urine test and passed it and went and took the urine test for probathion amd failed for.the hydro I enchant know how but anyway might lose my life for about 3 years its my own fault though

I have to have hydrocodone in my system when I'm tested at my doctor's office- I'm prescribed Norco 10/325. Having been on the same dosage for approximately 12 years I have developed a tolerance and tend to run out a week or so before my next appointment due to "doubling up". I just need to know how many mg of hydrocodone I need to save- i.e. the smallest amount in milligrams- to take to test positive for hydrocodone in a saliva OR urine (never know which- usu saliva) test? FYI- yes, I HAVE discussed this with my doc. The first one offered to switch me to Methadone, which I declined and promptly found another doc. My current doc offered to prescribe me Ultram which, aside from the fact that it takes me to emesis hell, seems ignorant to me as the Norco I'm prescribed and to which I have developed a tolerance is much stronger than Ultram. I've done research on non-narcotic meds for chronic pain and tried Lyrica which helped, but I'm an uninsured single mom with no family (I was orphaned at a young age). The Lyrica is so EXPENSIVE and I didn't know about Prescription Assistance programs then. I took it sporadically (as I could afford it) which made me swell up like a balloon- LITERALLY. I couldn't get my shoes on. So now it's in my records as my having had a bad reaction to it and it's unlikely I will be prescribed it again.
But I digress. Apologies- instructions said be "detailed" (italics & underlined!). I really just want to know HOW MANY MG OF HYDROCODONE DO I NEED TO TAKE TO HAVE IT SHOW UP IN A SALIVA OR URINE TEST? Oh, and how long before my doctor's appointment should I take it for optimal results?

Keep 2 of the norco and take it 5 hours before your test. You need at least 5 hours for it to show. I know because I go thru this every month for pain management

That's actually not true. Hudrocodone can be out of your system in less than 24 hours if you only take 1 dose and aren't someone who uses all the time.
