I have a prescription for Tramadol (45 pills). I'm supposed to take one every 8 hours. When do I need to get a refill?

How was the prescription written?

If it was written directing you take one every 8 hours, then 45 pills would last for 15 days.

However, if it was written to be taken as needed, your doctor might expect it to last longer.

The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation.
