Methylprednisolone is a steroid class medication, not an antibiotic, so it does not cause your birth control to lose effectiveness.

The actual issue that occurs is that the estrogens in the oral contraceptives may cause the blood level of the Methylprednisolone to increase, so it may not work properly and it could increase the risk of side effects.
