How Long To Wean Off Of Savella??

I was on Savella for about 6 months, and have decided to go off of it. I took the titration pack for a week, and it has been over a week since I took the last pill. In the mornings I am fine, but as the day goes on, my head starts to spin, and gets worse with movement, and then causes nausea. Any idea how long this is supposed to last??

That was a rather rapid taper, so the withdrawal effects aren't surprising. It may take a month or so, before you start to feel more normal.

Why are you going off of it? Did you experience bad side effects?

Hey Verwon-

I am good (outside of the dizziness). Thanks for responding. I did the taper that the Dr told me to do, which was reverse the starter pack starting on day 7. I am going off for several reasons... 1) doesn't seem to work well 2)recently diagnosed with Celiac's, which causes similar symptoms as fibro, so I am hoping with my GF diet I get some relief 3)I am getting ready to travel outside of the country and was told I needed documentation on all my medications because customs of this country can be funny about stuff 4) when I get back from said trip my husband and I are going to TTC and I can't be on Savella while TTC or prego.

Outside of the dizziness I have been feeling a lot better... hopefully it goes away soon!
