I am taking URIMAX0.4 for last 3 years continuously.I find it very useful. But I am not getting answer to my question that how long one can take it. After how much time I will have to increase the dose? Will it create any serious problem due to prolonged use? I am of 62 years. I am suffering from BPH since 2002.

If you are above sixty, you can safely take Urimax 0.4 mg once daily continuously. When I asked Dr. Asim Pal FRCP (London), FRCP (Edin) how long I should take it, he replied that until he changed the medicine, I should take it for 100 years safely. If there are problems like itching or burning during urination, the cause may be something else. In that case, one should consult a urologist who may advise lab tests including USg whole abdomen. This will fix the problem.

I have been taking Urimax 0.4 for the last ten years. I am aged 65 years. When I asked the urologist who treats me how long I should continue it safely, he remarked that I could continue the medicine safely until he changed it or until further complications requiring newer medications arose.
