When being treated for an appropriate medical condition, with a medication like Ativan, which contains the Benzodiazepine Lorazepam, it is not unusual for someone to take it for a year, or even longer.
Have you been experiencing any withdrawal symptoms, such as nausea, fever and chills or diarrhea?
After being on it for that long it can take about a month to stop experiencing any of those symptoms and return to normal, because your body has to readjust to not having the medication.
