Atarax is a prescription drug classified as an antihistamine.Although
It is used for many purposes.It is not considered a controlled dangerous substance.Its used regularly because it carries a low potential for abuse.As such this drug is not routinely screened for.If you hold a rx for this drug you have nothing to fear when used as directed. Regards

Interesting that you're getting steroids and the hydroxy is causing a reaction. I use topical steroids and they react to the hydroxy, too, in the form of peeling/redness/dry skin. It's weird because hydroxy is supposed to be good for skin rashes - like eczema.

I'm shaking really bad and have spasms plus my skin is pealing. I have MS and am doing IV steroids but the hydroxy is causing these problems. It's the only new drug I have been put on.

Hydroxyzine is an antihistamine, so it is not something that is tested for on drug tests, if that is what you are worried about.
It can vary depending on the length of time you were taking it and the dosage, but it should be processed out of the body in approximately 24 to 48 hours.
