How Long Does Chlorthalidone Take To Work?
UpdatedWhen should I expect to see my blood pressure start to lower if this medication is going to work for me? It's been 3 days and haven't seen a drop yet. 25 mg in the morning.

Hello, Brittany! How are you?
It may actually take about 3 to 4 weeks for it to reach its full level of effectiveness in your body, but you should start to see gradual improvement after about 2 weeks.
The FDA lists the typical side effects of this medication as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination, dehydration and hypotension.
Is there anything else I can help with?
