How Long Does Horizant Take To Work?

How long should Horizant take to work? So far it's been 2 weeks of taking 600mg in the morning and 600mg in the evening, and no results for nerve damage from shingles. I can't find any info on how long Horizant should take to work. Thank you in advance for any information or feedback on this medication.

While Horizant does sometimes have some immediate benefits, in many cases it takes about 4 to 5 weeks for it to reach its full level of efficacy in your body.

The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, mood changes, dry mouth, and weight gain.

This medication seems to be hit, or miss, when it helps people, it seems to work wonderfully, but for others, it does absolutely nothing. I tried it, more than once, and even after trying to adjust my dosing, while staying within my doctor's guidelines, it did nothing for my pain, at all.

Can anyone else who's taken Horizant/Gabapentin chime in with their experience?

That medication is garbage and if you are expecting it to work like an actual pain medication it won’t. Furthermore you will probably get some extreme fatigue, living with the pain might be a better. Be careful with that medication it’s garbage
