I also have uterine fibroids and am taking Primolut N. A pharmacist in my area told me it is standard for prescription medication, such as Primolut N, to be taken for 3 months to see if there is any improvement. If there is no improvement with the uterine fibroids after 3 months of medication, you will probably need surgery to remove them. Primolut N will have side effects. Even if some of them are manageable, some will not be easy to control (like mood swings or constant worry -- these are unusual for me and difficult to manage because they are unfamiliar). When you are scheduled to "start" your period, it will probably be very heavy and with many blood clots. Your period may also be unusually painful. After 4 days of period, begin taking Primolut N again.
