How Do I Know If I Have Hiv?

I had intercourse almost 2 years ago with someone I didn't know very well. I was diagnosed with HSV2 a few months after that - I have not had any bad outbreaks since and have not been taking any medication to prevent it either. We used a condom every time and I took an at home HIV test almost 7 months after our last encounter which was negative. Recently, I have had an ear blockage that was believed to be due to allergies and an unfortunate allergy to the antibiotic. I know the risk of me having HIV is low but I still just can't shake the idea. Is it possible?

The only way to find out is by seeing your doctor and requesting a blood test to check for it, these tests are much more reliable than the others, according to FDA reviews. Your doctor has heard it all and seen it all, so there is no need to feel ashamed about it. We all make mistakes in life.

However, if you used a condom every time, then no, it is not very likely. They are well known to prevent HIV, if used properly.
