I have been taking Oxyicodone 30 MG for almost a year. It is the only thing that works for me. Since I have been taking it for a while, most of the time it takes the pain away. However, since I have been on it for a while, my body is starting to get used to it (and the euphoria has left also :( I heard that if I chew them instead of swallowing them that the meds works better and the Euphoria is better that way also. Does anyone know about this? I hate waiting 45 mintues for the pain medication to kick in. By then I have struggled with the pain for almost an hour to where there is no point in taking it. Can someone please answer both questions? Thanks

Have you tried discussing the issue with your doctor?

It is perfectly normal for your body to get used any medication, if you have been taking the same dosage for a long period of time and your doctor should be aware of that fact.

Other than that, I am afraid that since it would be improper and illegal use, we cannot provide you with any information on using the medication in any other manner than swallowing the tablets as intended.

The euphoria is also just a temporary side effect that some people experience from narcotics and your pursuit of that should not be encouraged.
