i am a twenty four old male weighing 200 pounds i am 5'9 and in reasonable shape. i have anklyosing spondilitis from my mother. i take 40 mg of methadone a day but recently i fell down a flight of stairs and badly injured my back. i went through my dones quicker than expected because of it. i took a half of a morphine 100 and just want to know how long after use would it take before it is detectable in a ua test thank you for your help in advance

Why are you on that dosage of oxycodone 8x's daily??? That is so incredibly dangerous my friend. The simple amount of brain damage that would cause over any period of time longer than a month or two could be detremental to your well being...I would request immediately to be changed to an extended release medication to manage your pain better... This is coming from someone who has had 3 back surgeries, 17 herniated disks in my neck and back as well as DDD, and spinal stenosis. I have frontal lobe damage from cage fighting. I have 20+ screws and multiple plates inside me... I know pain BROTHER!!! Please believe when I tell you this...my IQ dropped significantly after long-term use of Immediate release meds... Your system cant deal with it, you will feel much better too in the long run.... It will SUCK AT FIRST!!! Get a good doc that will find you the right dosage to manage your pain with maybe 2 pills a day instead of 8!!! I take 38 a day and that's half of what I was taking before all the research I did!!!. Get your brain active!!! Ginko biloba!!!

Nic, if you've been using it for a long period of time and suddenly stop, you are likely to experience withdrawal symptoms. How bad and/or dangerous they are, will depend on the amount you have been using.

Morphine is a narcotic opiate, so the withdrawal symptoms can get bad and may include: nausea, vomiting, chills and rebound pain.

And, as I stated in my other post, it can be detectable in urine for as long as 4 days.

My friend has been on methadone for 5months clean from everything else ever since she started with no problem. Yesterday unfortunately she threw up her dose minutes after taking it so needless to say. She's been feeling really bad with withdrawals. On the bus to the clinic this morning someone offered her a half of an extended release morphine 60. Half hour later when she got to the clinic she got a random urine screen. Will it show up on the test or was it too soon to be detected? By the way she swallowed the pill.
