depends on the test as gas chromatography tests can detect if the substance was taken as far back as 10 days but not always, and the urine test can detect drugs used in the last 7 days! and swab test under the tongue can detect anything in the last 10 days but it all depends on your metabolism too and the amount of fluid you drink and how fast your body cleanses itself!! so next time be careful!! and there are many ways round certain tests but difficult to get round the swab test! hope this helps!!

I have my first appt with a Dr so that I can get put on subutex (they only prescribe suboxone to people with insurance, which I do not have). I have been taking 1 1/2 every day for 5 days and I only took a quarter this morning. I'm about 90% sure he will give me a UA (I believe it is the 8 strip one). I was told by my friend that goes to the same clinic that I need to test positive for opies, which is understandable, but he didn't say anything about what would happen I tested positive for buprenoprhine. I guess my question is...1. will it show up in my system on Wed afternoon (2-27) if I have been taking 6 mgs since Mon (2/13-2/22) and 2mgs today (Sat 2/23) and continue to take a quarter until Monday morning. 2.What should I tell the Dr when he questions me about it showing up in my system. My friend says he is a very understanding and sympathetic Dr and he actually told my friend that he expects people to slip and test positive for opies about 1 1/2 months into treatment.

Hi Sue, mommy was right, don't just stop. You need to do a slow reduction managed by health professionals. If you come off the subutex slowly and are off it before the baby is born then. The babs won't be born withdrawing from it. If your still addicted when baby's born then he or she will potentially be born addicted and will have to do a minimorph (baby morphine) reduction for the first few weeks of life. This can be very hard for baby and you and baby will have a tell tale screech cry and be difficult to bond with because of this. But after a week or so baby will be fine. Not all baby's are born addicted and they don't know why that is.
If you continue taking subutex until baby is born it is usually advised that you don't breast feed as it will enter the baby that way and continue the addiction.
The best thing to do is be open with your antinatal health care team and let then advise you, as there may be other complications specific to you and your baby which alter the best course of action you can take. Good luck to you and baby I hope it goes well for you

This response is 100% correct! When I accidentally became pregnant -my addiction specialist switched me immediately from suboxone to subutex because it is thought of to be safer for baby because its missing one of the ingredients (naxolone) . He would not let me taper off subutex because it could cause withdrawel symptoms and a potential miscarriage. Subutex is a Class C medication and has no known harmful effects on a baby.

If u have taken subutex throughout the 8 months u probably should have consulted with your doctor before you stopped taking them. I know from experience that my wife asked her obgyn doc and he said that quitting would do more harm than help, the baby. Also, he told us that the baby wouldn't withdrawal, yet he prescribed her morphine after she was born. I pray that everything works out for you and baby!

It shows up as bupenorphine the same as suboxone. They are the same drug the only difference is subutex doesn't have naloxone in it.

the best thing for u to do is to go to a methadone clinic but make sure you don't have your baby at Sarasota memorial hospital they will try to take your baby and make sure you don't test positive for anything except for your first test which should be opiates and if u are on medicade they will pay for the clinic and it is safe to breast on and make sure you stay clean of all other substances through out your care because dcf or cps can request those records

Just ask, I told my doctor that when I self medicated subutex worked better and he just changed it, it's cheaper and they want your feedback, they are there to help you, all you have to do is ask.

Sub ozone and subtext show up the same with the exception of suboxone having noloxone in it that will show up in the test as well so if you took subtexbut are suppose to be taking suboxone you will be fine if you have went back to suboxone prior to the test since it shows up with the added noloxone

Yes I was n the same boat u r n I was getting suboxone but they gave me really bad headaches so I just went in and told him that my friend gets subutex and she said they work much better than the other plus suboxone gives me really bad migraines and I told him that the taste of the regular ones makes me sick n he switched me but my doctor was also really cool so I guess it really just depends on how he is but thats what I would tell him

injecting tex gets you higher no doubt!! I don't know if you can piss clean in less than 7 days when injected but I been looking up answers for days gotta piss clean next week.. oil field labor jobs is mad cash. so hopefully the Valium. I took and the tex will be out before then. I'm 5'7 110 lbs. workout daily. and I drink mad fluids. tomato juice and vinager 45 mins before the test blocks the tex from showing. did it for the Walmart job, but it taste like s***. and its hard to keep down.
