I took morphine twice a day for a week, that is percsribed to be taken every 12 hours. i took 2-3 a day for a week. how long will this be in my system?

Do not do any thing that is altering of a prescription. They could charge you or altering a Rx or prescription fraud. I have had one of those charges but under different circumstances. Tampering with prescriptions and documentation can be a felony so I would highly advise not doing that with your moms Rx.

I took 3 30mg time released morphine pills for my back the other day. Not all together, over a 24 hour period. That was last Tuesday. If I go to my pain mgmt dr Tuesday, will it show up? I'm only about 5'4" and weigh 125.

I was dIagnosed with chronic back pain I've been prescribed vicodin and oxycodone. However every time I go to a doctor it cost me lots of money but my mother she gets prescribed for morphine which I have been substituting for my back pain therefore avoiding more health care costs. When I got UA'd I thought I would be okay sincethey are all just opiates. But when I got a call from the MRO they asked me if I had a prescription for morphine. Now I'm panicking I am the sole provider for my family 2 kids. I just want to cry! I am not by any means a junkie or an addict to this I am actually in the process of getting physical therapy for my back I don't even like taking medications I just need it cuz I'm in constant pain I don't know what to do here.I was thinking maybe I could get my moms since we share the same last name get her perscription and put my name on it because all he does is ask for a fax of Proof. Really scary though! Please help

Can someone please help me out here? I split a 120mg morphine between me and someone else. Both of us shot the morphine by vein. I weigh 190lbs, I am a male who is 34 years old. How long will this stay in my system? I have a urine drug test Friday October 11th 2013 at 10:00 a:m.. what are my chances of passing my urine drug test?

Marie, are u on the patch ? If u have been on it for a year then u need a stronger patch. U are probably experiencing withdrawal! Them patchs are horrible. They seem like a miracle at first until they stop sticking fall of or in ur case,.just isn't enough. U should tell them u want off of them ! My mom got on those n was up to 200mcg n was the worst time of get life finally she was brave enough to change meds to morphine and is ok now doing much better. Also morphine showed up in my urine after 11 days I couldn't believe it. But I really think it depends on dose and how many days u took it. hope u find better relief !

really? Elsewhere on the site i read 3 days...damn. I am a pain patient on fentanyl, but i had morphine prescribed in the past. I am on the lowest normal dose of fentanyl and have been for a year, ive been telling my doc for six months that its not enough, i have major breakthrough pain and even my baseline pain is not being covered. I no longer have a life, i cant do anything with my kids because it hurts so bad to move. They wanted to go to the fair tomorrow and i have an appointment on the third, sometimes they do a urine test and sometimes they dont. I would like to take one of my old morphine pills so i could take my kids to the fair, and if its 3 days i could, but if it takes 7-10 im screwed. ::sigh::

Opana IS in the same family as morphine!! Google opana. I agree with David ... you should be safe as long as you can prove all of the meds you're taking is prescribed to YOU!! hope this helps God Bless!!

i took one capsule of morphine on saaturday wasnt even enough to kill the pain sunday took two more early sunday morning it helped.i havenever take morphine before useally i take percs. that i get from my pain clinic i have a drug test wed. morning will the morphine still be in my system.does anybody know.

how long will it take morphine 30 mg a day for two weeks straight to leave the system? im 128 lbs. very active a size 3 , 32 years old...ive also had a histarectami.....people say 2 to 3 days is this enouph time?

Ummm hello.... look up "opana".... it has the drug "HYDROMORPHONE" SOMETHING LIKE THAT ... SOUNDS LIKE ITS PART OF THE MORPHINE FAMILY BUT COULD.BE.WRONG WHO.KNOWS .... GOD BLESS YOU....

You would have to ask your Dentist if he administered morphine. If not I would get a second test done.

Morphine has one of the shortest half-lifes of all opiates. You should be fine as long as about 48-72hrs have passes.

I recently took a urin drug test which pain management requires every few months. I take 40mg oxycotin and 5mg opana. They claim I showed morphine in my urin. I'm a retired truck driver and have taken many drugs tests and never had a problem. And I'm also aware that anyone who fails a test and complains is not telling the truth. I don't drink,smoke dope or cigarettes. Shortly before the test I had three teeth extracted. Could this be from the dental visit?

The elimination half-life of morphine is approximately 120 minutes, though there may be slight differences between men and women. Morphine can be stored in fat, and, thus, can be detectable even after death.

Unless you didn't obtain Morphine by prescription, you should not worry how long it stays in your system. In hair samples, it can be detected forever; in pee, it depends on several factors, including: Your metabolism rate (which is determined by gender, age, diet, genetic makeup, disease state (if any), and use of other medications), and when you took the pills in relation to the time of your drug test. Generally, it is out of your system for a standard urine test in 7 to 10 days.
