From what I could gather, Methadone can be detected in your urine for as long as 6-12 days after your last dose.

Depending on the type of drug test you'll be taking:
-It can be detected in your blood for up to 24 hours
-It can be detected in your saliva for up to 1-10 days
-It can be detected in your hair for up to 90 days

How many days leeway do you have in-between your last dose and your upcoming drug test?

In march i had gotten sighned up for the methadone program and got up to 95mlg.daily,then went from that to 54mlg.then to 32mlg.and then 30mlg then 35.the last time i had dosed was last thursday when will it be out of my urine?will there still be traces?

i was on methadone for 9 and half months and started at 15mg then 30 mg then 50 mg then 100 for about 3 months and the last 3 weeks i was on it i was on 30 mg and my last dose was aug 8th, will i pass a urine test that i have on sept 3rd, will the methadone be out of my urine by then,
please help

I believe it will be out after a month. But methadone was prescribed to you so why would it be a problem if it was in a ua?

to answer your question, usually methadone stores up in your fat tissue of the body, so from the 11th to the 29th hmmm if you only did it once and you havent been doing methadone you might be ok but just remember the more you take the more it stores up so lets say you took some a week before, then on the 11th , well the dose you took a week before the 11th will still be and show up. I hope you will be ok , i know its very difficult but i know you can do it, try to stay away from the methadone stay on your suboxones i think your doing the right thing good luck to you, if i knew how many times you had been doing methadone before hand i would be able to give you a more accurate answer. but if you only did it one time and two weeks later you had to give a pee test id say you should be fine depending on your weight, and your metabolism. I hope your test is fine good luck.............................

You Should be clean in 1-3 days if u dont use anymore before your test and drink water consistantly.

Gram, what if a person did one line of heroin? and didnt for 2 days then had to pee? the person drank so much water the day of til his pee was clear? his boss hadnt said anything but he is curious , hes been real sick with cancer but he cant find a pain dr due to doing meds but not for recreational use he finds what he can to take his pain away so i told him he should try not doing anything he might suffer but at least hed be seen as clean i guess but anyway can u please answer this thank you

They have to use a specific test to test for methadone. The only places that I know that test for methadone are the methadone clinic, drug rehab centers, & pain clinics... Probation doesn't. Wish u the best of luck!

Hi,
First, I'm a physician. Second, I am a methadone patient for the last 15 years. Methadone is a fat binding drug which is stored in the liver & in fat cells & can be detected in the urine for 30+ although most urine tests do not screen for methadone as the test is expensive. If you take it as prescribed to treat either narcotic addiction or to treat chronic pain in a pain clinic & are not taking more than prescribed at a dose or diverting it & selling it because of it's street value (part of the reason testing for methadone is expensive is due to the fact patients who do sell their methadone will try to cover the fact they aren't taking it by putting a drop of their methadone in their urine sample so the sample will be positive for methadone which is why the lab will check for two specific metabolites, methadone A & methadone B not everyone has the same one & by seeing this in the urine it proves the drug has been taken orally and broken down by the liver. If the test for the metabolite is negative then the patient will often be told the test for methadone is negative, something the patient will say is impossible because they know they put methadone in their urine sample & the patient now has some explaining to do & most will do a 'MacBeth' ~as in Shakespeare....."Me thinks the lady doth protest too much.........I've seen many an act worthy of a Broadway . In the blood methadone can be detected for 30 to 90 days in the detoxing patient & forever in a patient who is on the medication to treat addiction or chronic pain. It can be detected in saliva for 30+ days & in hair, depending on how fast your hair grows for up to 6 to 9 months. By the way, as of 2005 it is a felony to attempt to alter a drug test it's not worth it!

Hey..how are u? I wanna ask ya a question, yesterday morning i called this methadone clinic up the rd to set up for an interview which is Monday. Well i had made a dumba** mistake and quit my job a couple months ago all because for 2 weeks straight i was putting in 80 hours in 1 week, but i had medicine to get me thru it. I had ran out on Friday nite, saturday wasn't that bad being it was still in my system good, sunday wasn't so good and Monday i was supposed to leave out to go work outta town for a few days, but i couldn't get any medicine and by Monday morning my body was like 'stay ur ass in this bed'. Thing is, i didn't go so i lost my job. Boss said since i was a good worker i can come back, i just gotta pass a drug test 1st, and being that this would be my 4th time since 2008 with this company they had always used 5 panel tests. Well, my 3rd time they started using a different medical place and also got smart and began using 10 panel tests and just like i figured i showed positive for methadone. My boss was nice enough to still let me work, but i just had to be ready whenever they pop a random on me. Well with all that said and u know my past, my question is, once i start going to the clinic and taking it legally like I'm supposed to and they give u a card to carry with you, as long as u have that card saying im allowed to take this medicine can they still not wanna hire me being that I'm on it? I mean it's no different than having a script from a doctor right?

Probation absolutely does test for methadone. So please becareful for those who do not know they test for all drugs including methadone, suboxone, and subutex. Wish all best in recovery

What if I take 2 milligrams a day. took last dose on a Saturday morning and tested on Wednesday morning. will it show up?

There's a lot of info on Google..like is it R methadone or RS methadone?..they have different times..don't ask me the difference.. l couldn't even find what it was on Google.. get an in home drug test..like 3 of them..to keep testing..but there's also a lot of otc and antibiotics that show false positives for methadone..like Cipro..cough meds show for methadone and amphetamines sometimes..hope that helps.

You'll be fine. Trust me!!! I passed a urine test and only had three days clean in between. I didn't drink any water. And it was my first urine of the morning.
