How Long Does Lisinopril

I'm on the second day of being off of Lisinopril after being on it for two weeks with really bad side effects. Chills. Itching, stomach pains, headache. My question is how long has the side effects lasted for everyone?

HI, Roddy! Sorry about the side effects you suffered.

If you were only on it for 2 weeks, it shouldn't take too long for them to wear off, maybe a week or so, but it can vary from person to person and you should double check with your doctor.

Have you already consulted your doctor to switch to a different medication?

It isn't safe to just abruptly stop a medication like this, if you were taking it for high blood pressure or a cardiac condition.

I'm on day 5 of being off of it. I'm going to try nature methods to try and lower my blood pressure, like not adding any salt to my foods and avoiding foods with high salt content. I also brought a BP monitor the other day. Before Lisinopril I was on another blood pressure med that also caused a lot of side effects. Did you also have bad experiences with Lisnopril?
