All you really need to do is save one or two of your pills. I know how pain can differ from day to day! I use to go to a pain management that could of cared less what I tried to tell them...I needed more medication because I was only given 45 tablets & told I could take 6 a day! Where I went you, the patient was absolutely not allowed to tell the nurses you need more under any circumstances....they and they only decided for you when and if you needed more! I do believe they did this to accuse you of abuse and selling the medication! They did this to me even though I was totally honest about what was going on. They left me in tears so many times until one very nice and sympathetic nurse assistant told me about just putting one to two of my pills aside and taking one or two about 5 to 6 hours before you go in for your urine test! Most pain clinics test for a lot of other illegal drugs but only test to make sure your prescribed drug is in your urine! It takes about a half hour to an hour before the medication gets into your system and another 3 1/2 to 4 1/2 hours for about 50% to show up in your urine! I know your question/post is old but I hope this reply can at least help someone, if not you! The clinic I went to for 10 years was the worst place ever but I was so afraid of switching because of the idiotic laws in my state of Tennessee! I could have been accused of Dr. Shopping! But I finally got so fed up with this place I made a move to another clinic and I could not be happier! The first clinic was only in it for the money! I also have evidence that the Dr in that clinic did procedures on people who had nothing wrong with them...just wanted the pills! That doctor never saw a patient at all, his staff of nasty nurses ran it and he had no clue how they treated people nor did he care just so he could pay for his new home on the river, boat, world trips etc! All he did were surgical procedures for a lot of money which he did from morning to night 5 days a week! So shop around for a pain clinic that respects its patients! But do save a pill or two!

Unless you know the testing protocols they use and what standards the individual practice utilizes then all the advice others may offer is meaningless.most folks fail and red flagged by listening to theories about using clean spec's,taking to many or not enough prior to testing.if you know method and standard then a reasonable guesstimate is feasible. Hope things work out BC that stress only exacerbates pain levels no doubt.

Not for me. 10 mgs of oxycodone prescribed for debilitating back pain (for 10 years) and taken every day, (I am 62 years old) and urine test says never taken. Now Dr. after 10 years w/out a test, will no longer perscribe....HELP!!!!

If you threw up and saw the pill intact your fine but if it looked partially absorbed you may test positive. Stomach acid works fast so if the pill looked like some was absorbed it may show. Drink lots of water. Pee 5 times before test and fill cup midstream. Then you will be fine. Remember to start in the cup mid-stream don't do it from the beginning and you should be ok let me know how it works out cuz I'm curious on that answer

What if you shot it? Do you think it will still take as long? I have a full bladder of clean pee, so I was wondering if I shot it an hour before my test, that it hopefully wouldn't shoe up.
