Cifran contains the active ingredient Ciprofloxacin, it is an antbiotic and, in this instance, it isn't related to how long it stays in your body, but rather how long it stays in your stomach. Thus, this medication should be taken on an empty stomach either at least a half hour before, or 2 hours after meals.
Side effects may include: nausea, dizziness, skin rash and diarrhea.
