How Long Do Opiates Stay In Your System While On Methadone? (Page 2)

I am on 70mg of methadone daily. Before I was on methadone heroin would only last in my system 2 days, 3 days at the most and that's only if I barely drank water and spent those days in bed. Now that I'm on methadone it's not that easy. Unfortunately, I have used heroin again and am due for a urine screen soon. I just need to know if I need to hold off the UA for one more day or a whole week. The last time this happened I had 4 days clean before the UA with lots of water and exercise in between and it still came up hot. Is there any reason why my body doesn't metabolize opiates as quickly anymore? Please, if anybody has any answers, I'd be grateful.

I have not touched heroin in 3 years. Yesterday, I caved. Today I'm told that I need to take a U.A. This is from my husband. I'm pretty sure I can stall him because if I'm not mistaken, the order has to come from his lawyer. Anyhow, 3 yrs clean. Blew it today and am wondering how long it's detected in urine.

You should be good.... I am on 30 mg of methadone and I was taking heroin for 4 days straight. I stopped the heroin on a Thursday morning and had to give a urine on Monday morning. My results were negative for opiates. I am 6'0 and weigh 250 lbs.

Probably not.... It usually takes 5-6 weeks..... Maybe just headaches, it won't be severe. Whatever you do, don't take a Suboxone. The Suboxone will block any methadone that is left in your system and send you straight into withdrawals.

Hi John!

Question- were you working out in between? Did you do anything special to help have a clean test?

I’m on 60mg of methadone and I used for 2 weeks straight, then stopped for 2 days, then used last night. I was only using about .5-1g a day for the 2 weeks and .5 last night. Have a UA on Thursday in afternoon. I’m worried.
