After completing the prescription for smz tmp ds, how long should i wait before safely consuming alcohol?

Hi Mike,

The time it will take for the drug to leave your system completely, depends upon how much you've been taking. I would give it at least a few days, just to be safe. From what I can find, the half life of one dose is 10-12 hours. So within 10-12 hours "half" of one dose will have left your system. To speed up the process, makes sure to drink lots of water, exercise, and eat lots of fruit and veggies.
