How Does 20mg Of Lexipro Compare With 40mg Citalopram Hbr

How does 20mg of lexipro compare with 40 mg of citalopram? Is drowsiness a side effect of citalopram?

The Escitalopram in the Lexapro is more potent than the Citalopram, so it is normal that a higher dose of the Citalopram be needed, if someone is switching from one to the other.

And drowsiness can be a normal side effect of both of them, as well as nausea, dry mouth and weight changes.
