Iam pregnant and tested positive on doing a pregnancy test.i purchased a MTP kit of Cipla as per the advise of one of my doctor friend...kindly tell me how to use these five tablets combipack of Mifepristone and Misoprostol tablets....to abort my pregnancy

U can take the first tablet in the morning and at night the second 1 or 2 tabs orally and other 2 or 3 tabs vaginally...

I tested +ve on the preg home test. Visited my doc and she confirmed the same. I was 5wks and few days preg, she advised the MTP kit. She also gave the option of normal procedure, but advised that the MTP kit is a new option and I can do all this at home. I had only a day or two to think. I opted fot the MTP kit.
My opinion about the MTP kit is not a positive one. A women's body goes for a complete toss. Lot of side effects, I had excessive bleeding, weakness, headache etc... The mifepristone and then misoprostol, once all these five pills are in ur ur system is f...... Screwed. Can u imagine the turmoil you go thru. An abrotion thru some 5 pills... HUH.... I think one should avoid it is poss.
The traditional method of D&C two hr procedure is better, instruments cleaning u up, instead of drugs taking you for a roller coaster ride.... Man I so don't advise MTP kit.
Take it easy guys.... And for sure think think think ....... Before using the MTP kit

I started bleeding after taking the kit,then tested and it was negative. But the problem is dt after one and half month even i m not having my periods and the stomach is painful. How will i hv periods now?

This is a normal problem. You can check it till 24 - 28 july because period dates are changeable.

But maximum chance of pregnancy is before and after period, where only 5 days are safe for sex...

MTP Kit (Misoprostol + Mifepristone) the set is a combination of two medicines especially used for medical abortion/termination of intrauterine pregnancy up to 63 days of fertilization. For purposes of this treatment, pregnancy is dated from the first day of the last menstrual period in a presumed 28 days cycle with ovulation occurring at mid-cycle. It is advisable to go for a clinical examination to know the duration of pregnancy, this may be determined from menstrual history as well.

The dosage is mifepristone 200 mg orally followed 1–3 days later by misoprostol 800 mcg (4 tablets of 200 mcg) vaginally. The misoprostol may be administered by a clinician or self-administered by the woman. For women at 49–63 days of fertilization, if abortion has not occurred 4 hours after administration of misoprostol, a second dose of misoprostol 400 mcg (2 tablets of 200 mcg) may be administered vaginally or orally (depending upon preference and amount of bleeding). The patient should return for a follow-up visit approximately 14 days after the administration of mifepristone.

This visit is very important to confirm by clinical examination or ultrasonographic scan that a complete termination of pregnancy has occurred. Patients who have an ongoing pregnancy at this visit have a risk of fetal malformation resulting from the treatment. Surgical termination is recommended to manage medical abortion treatment failures.
