How Can I Get Prescribed Subutex Instead Of Suboxone (Page 2)

i get sick everytime i take my dose of suboxone. I throw up everytime. but my doctor will not switch me to the subutex even though it is in my charts that i have yaken the subutex and never got nausiated. what do i need to say or do to get my doctor to understand and switch me? i also have severe intestinal problems that get aggravated with the suboxone, what can i do. i do not want to quit treatment but i cant keep throwing up everyday all day. please someone help me.

Methadone kinda defeats all anti-opiod purposes.totally opposite in all the same ways.I took 240 mgs of Methadone a day.and yes,clinic prescribed.now,getting off the Methadone is a similar sickness,but hella more intense.everyone is built different.so I say try and use it for medication,and not substitution.

You only get SUBUTEX if you have been consistently had issues w side effects of the NALOXONE . I've Been on subutex for six yrs started on suboxone like they do with everyone cause they want everyone to take the strips or orange. My only real issue w subi one is headaches and s*** feelings and the nasty from hell taste of orange bile from the daily NALOXONE. Hell, that's what your shot up with when you're ODing on H and they have classes at the needle centers that give out jars it was a great thing but anyway. It cannot be good for your body daily (thats why theyll switch if youre pregnant) and you only absorb it if u swallow it (than ill get that dopesick feeling from NALOXONE ) I always hold in mouth 20 min n spit it out. But I get these tiny white buprenorphine pills does anyone know why there isn't many places that have the big white subutex anymore?! The little ones make me go trough them stupid fast . The big ones were better for those who insufflate. I should just tounge it but Im workin on it...hate bein stuck on it but would prolly die without it or so my brain says lol whew..I don't have the energy to do much many answers that can just be googled the answer for :/. I can give U alot of answers; erowid :3 if anyone has {edited for privacy} MSG me back somehow here I dunno I'm a newb

PS YOUR DOCTOR SUCKS AND U NEED A NEW ONE IF youre VOMITING FROM IT for real AND HE ISN'T SWITCHING Probably cause vomiting isn't a normal thing but if I are daily twice that's awful I'd complain or just see someone who cares at all or is a Nice quack

I got switched to subutex on Tuesday. I was on suboxen for a whole year with horrible migrianes. There's good news to patients that doc won't switch then to subutex. There's now generic suboxone called zubsolv. It's a small minty round pill and it disovles within 1 min. It taste like a mint nothing else. It don't numb your mouth. I got switched to that first and I hated it. It was weak. I went thru withdrawal in my sleep. It gave me horrible migraines as well. That's when my doc said subutex is your last option. I basically said it's about time. After migrianes for a yr I was ready to go back to the streets for pain pills. The opiate blocker gave me migrianes. I had one everyday I would take zubsolv or suboxone. I tried to cut back. Take it at diff times in lower doses and spitting out the spit instead of swallowing it. Nothing worked. Not all docs will switch to subutex cause it can be insufflated and shot up. I take it the right way. I have also failed a number of drug checks for pot. I refused to quit smoking it. I paid zero dollars for zubsolv (insurance covered it) paid over 400$ a month for suboxone and again nothing for subutex. So it is deff cheaper. By the way it'd only Thursday but not one headache since Monday. Hurray I think I'm finally gonna be okay only cause of subutex. I hope you all get what you need but also don't abuse the subutex either. I'm against iv users and think they are the lowest of all people out there.

Wow that's pretty smart thinkin ...I never thought it would it COULD RATHER be a different manufacturer adding different ingredients to cause different problems with our bodies & then still thinking that we're taking the same drug...

I have allergic reactions severe swelling to the point where i have been to the emergecy room 6 times in the last 7 months, i have severe reactions going on the suboxone, my body burns, tingles the doses cant even keep up with the withdrawels, my brain even feels like i am having a acid trip, I feel so weak i cant even move, breathing, takes all my energy away, and then after 4 days of hell all the sudden the withdrawels stop, I am able to do only 2 quartes a day (4mg) and im prescribed 2, (8mg tabs.) Because I dont need anymore every day I try and do less and less but @ the 2 week mark all the sudden my kidneys hurt, I swell up all overmy body and it gets worse everyday, its so bad i can stick my finger 2 inches deep into my flesh over my shin bone, thats severe swelling, my tops of my feet look like balloons, my hands cant close my throat is swollen, I have to get steroid shots lasix pills and I have to go off of the suboxones to any opiud I can find to avoid withdrawels because the nalaxone in the subs is literally killing me and then because of the blocker I have to do dangerous amounts of whatever I get to stop the withdraweles and that just messes up my tolerance and is crazy, this is the cycle I go threw every 2 weeks all because of the dr.s or dea worried about someone might beable to do a pill...wtf, I have more of a tolerance and a drug problem then I ever had before going on suboxone. I dont fo any illegal drugs, dnt smoke, dont drink, only reason I ever used pain meds is because i flew into a tree off a four wheeler and messed up my spine real bad and was put on pain meds so i didnt have to suffer, never sbused them didnt even become dependant on them for ten years and if i cant function in the amount of pain im in i hv to take them regardles. So now legitamently because of people who ruin it for the rest I cant get my meds and am now yoyoing on suboxone thats killing me and now actually use more then i ever did cause of the blockers, and cant remain on the suboxone for more then 2 weeks cause of the allergic reaction i get from the crap buiding up in my system. So instead of me being able to take subutex, and not getting a allergic reaction and dying, and actually have a normal life and not deal with illegal crap, like buying whatevers available just to not die from the suboxone "nalaxone" shutting my kidneys down. I am being put in situations I never would have been in before starting suboxone. Isnt the whole point of being on suboxone to stop drug addict behavior and have a normal life not having to spend crazy amounts of cash and lying to everyone and not having to be sick all the time. Well before being put on suboxone, I never stole, lied, hid from people cause Im sick, or did illegal meds like buying off of streets. My family since starting suboxone has asked me if I was on drugs and whats wrong with me, and wheres all the money going, I have to pay 180.00 cash for the dr. Fee and 6 to 800.00 cash for the suboxone and now hundreds on meds so I dont die from the suboxone. So instead of putting me on subutex with no nalaxone so I dont every two weeks go into kidney failure and severe edema and shock, so I dont have to go off of it to illegal crap, so I dont have to spend obscene amounts of cash. They keep me on suboxone to prevent that very behavior I never ever had before starting the suboxone. I cant find a docter to even tell my story to I dont know what to do. Does anyone know of any subutex docters so i can actually have a chance to be on it to wean down to get to the point where i dont need stuff. All the suboxone is doing is killing me. I should have never went on this stuff being a pain management patient who never did illegal anything, i dont even smoke cigarattes or drink alcohol, dont gamble, cause i dont like to. Never was one to like feeling weird, i like normalcy, but now that my record is ruined with suboxone, i cant even get pain management treatment, at least i would like to not almost die every 2 weeks and yo yo on and off things. Id like to feel normal. Please anyone share with me a dr. Name to help me.

Don't say the miagraine
. you have to prove is for that the allergist that you are allergic to naloxone in the suboxone.
He will tell u to take and dissolve as usual just instead of swallowing, spit it out. I've tried.trust me. Find another dr. Tell him the subutex is cheaper and it will help u financially.

Methadone has ruined my life. The Wd's from them are worse than any opiate out there. I've been on them all and I can't kick methadone. Th half life is insanely long so you have to suffer through Wd's for a week atleast before even thinking about touching a sub strip! I thought heroin was hard... It has nothing on methadone! Beware!! Please!

I go tomorrow and will be seeing one who does in ft lauderdale and from everything I have read in these forums kinda scares me but subutex is the way to go I used it once and it worked. Then used and never had the chance to have again and I wanna stay in touch

Hey I'm starting suboxon on May 9th..im 21....I've been abusing pain killers and heroin since I was 14..my question is for anybody who wants to answer it. What will happen on the day of my appointment? how much do they prescribe? I've been taking one to two a day already.

Hello, I am in Columbus OH and every doc here prescribes the suboxone strips. I have tried this three times. I ended up in reverse withdrawal and it was the 5 worst days of my life. The doc says "wait it out". Nearly impossible. I went to rehab in Florida and was given subutex tablets which worked wonders. I can not get a doc here to prescribe subutex at all!!

I have seen many people take suboxone via injection. A boy I work with does it everyday but at least he isn't taking 10 Roxys a day.

I've been on Subutex for almost two years and just found out prolonged use of this particular drug can and will cause numbing in the hands and feet do to it killing nerve endings in your hands and feet. Its more common in women more so then men. Anybody taking it starting to notice numb hands and or feet first thing in the morning? Noticing major swelling problems? This is due to taking the subutex. It causes something like what's commonly referred to as limp hand. This is serious. If your in treatment for the RIGHT REASON, try to get a tapper plan and get off it. Think I'm joking, consult your pharmacy technician.

If you are throwing up on the suboxone , you're taking too much. Subutex isn't as strong as suboxone. So. Lower your dose. You will be fine. A lot of people who were never really in withdrawl, their parents take them to the dr, or concerned friends, that know nothing about being an opiate addict, ( it actually takes a very long time to truly get addicted to where you get really sick when you stop - and I'm not talking nose runs) want to help and rush and get them on subs. When they don't need it. You could probably be fine in a couple days. Minus low energy and runny nose. Big deal. Be grateful that you don't need a drug like subs. But it seems like these days, every body wants to be a heroin or oxi addict. It's like the cool thing to do.

So here is my street diagnosis. There are two possibilities. One- you're not doing enough opiates. You're a part time user trying to get an Rx. Suboxone works miracles in real addicts with real withdrawl issues. We feel like a million bucks compared with how we did kicking. It's never going to work for you if you continue to lie about the amount you are using. You most likely don't even need a suboxone prescription. 2- you're using when you take suboxone. Can't do that.
