Hormone Changes To Blame For 2nd Week Bleeding?
UpdatedHi, I was on Yasmin (generic and brand) for 4 years. Just switched to Loestrin 24 Fe because I could no longer handle the strange moods and irreversible weight gain brought on by Yasmin. I am experiencing bleeding during my 2nd week on Loestrin; while on Yasmin, I never even experienced one day of spotting. Is this due to the decrease/change in hormone levels? When can I expect this to stop? Thank you.

Yes, that could be what's caused it and it may last as long as 3 months, while your body adjusts to the new hormone levels.

How severe is the bleeding?
