Have any women used hormone replacement therapy (HRT) as a successful treatment for osteoporosis?

It has successfully helped some women, since it can slow bone loss. You can read more on MedLine Plus about the treatment options.
As was also mentioned, weight bearing exercises, if approved by your doctor, can also help.
My mother-in-law recently saw a specialist who told her to eat yogurt on a daily basis, in addition to her regular dairy intake.
What other treatment options have been offered to you?
Re: Bone loss (# 1)
I have been happy with being on HRT. It seems as though it slows my bone loss. I recommend weight bearing exercises and HRT.
I have a friend who is doing great on HRT.
