Hormone Replacement Therapy

I AM GOING ONTO MEDICARE THEY DO NOT PAY FOR THE EXPENSIVE ELESTRIN AND PROMETRIUM THAT I PRESENTLY USED. I WANT TO USE ESTERFIED ESTROGENS/METHYL HSTAB MTEST AND MEDROXYPROGESTERONE 2.5 MY GYNO SAY I AM SAYING COST V CANCER IS SHE RIGHT I STILL CAN'T AFFORD ELLESTRIN AND PROMETRIUM WHAT CAN I USE I AM 64 IN PERFECT HEALTH NO PROBLEMS EXCEPT OSTEOPOROSIS WHICH EVERYONE AGREES THE HRT SHOULD HELP - I AM GETTING CONFUSED AS TO WHAT TO DO, PERFECT NO MEDICATION CHOLESTEROL, BLOOD PRESSURE, 5'4" 122. PLS ANYONE WITH SUGGESTIONS.

There are risks associated with the use of HRT of any type, the risk is not lessened just because one has a brand name, nor is it suddenly a higher risk if one is a generic version.

As long as you are aware of the possible risks, they remain the same, whether you use a generic, or a name brand.
