Help! Medication Causing Hand Pain?

I have been taking Thyroxine for about 2 weeks now. I am also on Micardis, Atenolol and Apo-Nifedipine for my blood pressure, which was 227/124. This all happened when all I had gone to the doctors for was a sore left wrist! My problem is, not only is my left wrist still sore, but now my right, my dominant hand is painful, especially at night and in the mornings. I am 51 and still have 7 of my 12 children living at home. I really need the use of my hands!! Currently even taking care of my own personal hygiene is difficult and painful due to my painful wrists. Any suggestions what could be causing it? Also my doctor said I had Graves disease, yet I am on Thyroxine. On the Internet it says Thyroxine is for Hypothyroidism yet Graves is HypERthyroidism. So I'm confused?? I would be so grateful for any help. I am in tears from the pain in the mornings.Thank goodness its school holidays here and hubby is a teacher and home to help!! Thank you so much

First off, while it does seem odd and contradictory, the Levothyroxine in Thyroxine is used to treat both conditions.

That is a dangerously high blood pressure reading, so please do not stop or change any medications, without first consulting your doctor.

As to the added pain, it could be caused by one, or more of the medications, some of them do have such an effect on people. You really need to consult your doctor, to determine which one is doing it, so they can adjust the dosage, or switch you to a different medication.
