I have initially took 5/5 mg of coveram for 2 months.. after my bp was found to be at 160/100.. the doctor prescribed 10/10 coveram but it causes heavy dry cough which lasted for more than a month.. another doctor prescribed to me another medication to stop my coughing.

A dry cough is a possible side effect of most blood pressure medications, according to the NIH. You may also experience nausea, dizziness, headache, and increased urination.

In most cases, the dry cough doesn't go away and someone must try alternative medications. Have you discussed doing so with your doctor?

Is this the only medication you are currently taking?
