Can I take Prilosec OTC 20.6mg while taking Dexilant Caps. 60mg in the morning.

Dexilant contains the active ingredient Dexlansoprazole, it is most commonly used to reduce the amount of acid produced by the stomach to treat GERD.

Prilosec contains the active ingredient Omeprazole, which is a medication in the same class, thus using both is not advisable, because it is doubling up on the same type of medication.

Have you consulted your doctor? If you are still experiencing heart burn and acid problems, while taking the Dexilant, it may not be the right medication for you.
