Hello, Steve! How are you?

Are you sure your doctor said you need Acetaminophen? Usually, when someone has a heart condition, it's Aspirin, which is classified by the FDA as an NSAID that also works as a blood thinner.

Cortisone is a steroid, I'm not sure if that's what you meant to type. If so, then no, this is a class of medications you will generally have to abstain from, they tend to elevate your heart and blood pressure, which could put you in danger and are usually contraindicated in people with heart conditions.

As to the Oxycodone, your doctor might not want you to take more of that, due to how much it can depress your central nervous system, including your heart rate. The FDA classifies this medication as being a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

What type of doctor are you seeing, a GP or cardiologist?
