Has Drixoral Been Recalled? (Top voted first)
UpdatedHi. After carefully going through websites i found a very interesting story about Drixoral. It states a batch of drixoral was recalled. Can some comment on it and if yes it was recalled, is drixoral still good to consume from Canada as stated by sites in Canada? A reply will be greatly appreciated.

From what I've heard and read on various sites, it was not recalled, but the company stopped making it.
Because of the recent FDA crackdown on medications with certain ingredients, such as Peudoephedrine being sold on the regular store shelves, it had to be placed behind the pharmacy counter in the U.S.
It did not require a prescription, however, with so many products available on the public shelves, most people just purchased something else. So, the manufacturer stopped making it due to the extreme loss in sales.
I see no link to the store you are referring to, so I cannot say anything about its accuracy.
There are still places that have supplies of it in stock to be ordered, which is probably what you are seeing on the Canadian websites.
Did the article happen to say why it was supposedly recalled?
Verwon is correct. But for many people, including me, Drixoral is the only thing that really works on allergies. I've been buying it from northwestpharmacy for the past year. This Canadian pharmacy is still selling it.
Re: Verwon (# 1)
Drixoral shelve space in stores was purchased by the makers of Claritin for a higher price when Claritin first came out, so the stores didn't stock it on shelves because they made more money by not carrying it.

I think Drixoral was a miracle drug that would put all other similar drugs out of business. Why does no other drug have the active ingredients of Drixoral? I think we are being sold less effective drugs so the manufacturers can keep making money. Drixoral was a miracle drug and somebody is keeping it from being manufactured.

The Pharmaceutical Companies in our Country don't want to sell things that actually work because if they did, everyone in the Medical Profession & Drug Industry wouldn't be making near the amount they are now by selling us things that aren’t really working. So then you have to go to the Dr to get a script & as far as OTC medications & many Prescription drugs have too many side affects that end up doing irreversible damage to our organs or killing us. It's all about money!
