Harvoni Treatment Possible Effects?

I'm 64 yrs old, geno 3 hvc, I have emphasemia, fibroscan 7.1 (not too bad), viral load high. I'm considering tx, but worried about side effects as I don't feel too bad except for my age and shortness of breath. I've been told the older you are and level of viral load, plus how long you have been positive increases side effects. Is it worth doing when you are older and don't feel bad as of yet?

It all depends, I think, on how well your liver is functioning. What stage are you with the HCV? Do you have cirrhosis? If so, how bad is the cirrhosis. I did the Harvoni at your age. I think maybe you should consider treatment. Liver disease is a horrible, drawn out ending.
