A multivitamin with iron is just that and is not going to be harmful unless you have some health condition that has given your doctor reason to tell you not to take them, or if you exceed the recommended dosing amount.

Too much iron can be very dangerous and may lead to a potentially fatal liver disease, so you definitely can't take more than you are supposed to take.
