I haven't had my period in six years after the birth of my daughter and I suddenly started to bleed 3 weeks back. I've been bleeding ever since and it's getting worse this morning. Everyday I've had clots, and today's blood clots were a handful size diameter. Should I be concerned? Please reply back.

Yes, that is a sign that you may have a hormonal imbalance and you should see a doctor. In most cases, according to NIH reports, large clots are due to an excess amount of estrogen in your body. Your natural processes may not have been able to rebalance themselves after you had your daughter.

Are you on any medications?

The general rule is that you should see a doctor if you experience any clots that are approximately egg sized, or larger.
