Hp Kit For H-pylori Bacteria

I was recently diagnosed with duodenal ulcers with biopsy samples revealing the existence of Pylori. The doctor prescribed hp kit for 7 days. Then after that esomeprazole tablets 40mg BD for 3 weeks will this work to cure me? Secondly I was also swallowing libraxin but the side effects attributed to muscle weakness and arthritis like feeling on my shoulder joints it was so painful I work up at night so I decided to stop libraxin and continue with the other medications. Is it okay?

After experiencing heavy gas i have been to the doctor and he advised an endoscopy. My report suggested that it was due to erosive gastritis, then the doctor suggested I take the hp kit. My gas is a bit low but I usually have loose motion 4 to 5 times and feeling very weak. Is it normal? I am also taking a vitamin tablet at night and velgut medicine after lunch.

Was diagonised for peptic ulcers some time back. Eso kit was prescribed for a month and am still on it awaiting a doctor's review.
Can i be able to take some alcohol while on this medication?

I was diagnosed with atral gastritis caused by h.pylori by endoscopy. I finished the h.p kit for seven days and now am on nexium fourth day but the discomfort and pain is still there. Please advise how long it takes to heal.

An HP Kit combines the antibiotic Amoxicillin with Omeprazole and Tinidazole, to help clear up the H Pylori infection and to start treating and help heal the ulceration.

It may cause some side effects, such as: nausea, drowsiness, skin rash and diarrhea.

Once it's finished, it is normal to switch to just a proton pump inhibitor, such as the Esomeprazole, to reduce the amount of acid produced by the stomach and help the ulcer to heal further.

I can't say whether or not they will work to cure you, they have been proven effective for a lot of people, but the only way to see if they will help you is to actually try them and find out.


As to the Chlordiazepoxide, what were you taking it for? Did you discuss the problems you had with it, with your doctor? You may have just need a dosage adjustment or to try a different medication, altogether.
