Hi maria,
The amount of time it will take for you to start feeling the effects of OxyNeo is dependent on your own unique body chemistry and whether or not you eat food directly before/ after you take the medication. It shouldn't take more than an hour for the medication to make its way into the bloodstream..but if you do eat something with the medication that could make the process longer.
The dosing information I found says that if you aren't taking any other opioid medications, you can take (20 mg) every 12 hours if necessary. Therefore, I imagine that 12 hours is the amount of time the effects are supposed to last. However, like I mentioned previously, the amount of time is dependent on a lot of different factors that are unique to your body and lifestyle...
