Hey...seriously....every one of those adjectives you used to describe yourself is so similar to me & my experience before beginning my Adderall,Clonazepm,Sertraline trio.
Now I'm curious. I read your post many times. Initially, it seemed like an impassioned cry for help. But now??
It comes across as recited, like copied off a generic symptoms pamphlet for ADD/ADHD.
And the closure of it: please help me??
My help is to offer my life experience that is quite similar to the one you described.
Well into my late 30's...I still carried labels like: lazy, unmotivated, talks about doing but never finishes, unreliable, no ambition, loser. Harsh, but somewhat true.
Then luckily I caught a break. Someone close picked up the bill for the initial visit to my psychiatrist.
At that visit, I went off about how pathetic I was and how I got no confidence...miserable!
Her evaluation and my diagnosis of Adult ADD-Inattentive,back then...didn't mean much to me.
She put me on a trio of meds. Sertraline, Clonazepam, & Adderall.
So, I fill them and the next morning I started my Adderall experience.
20mg IR tablets three x's daily. And when that first Adderall dose was taken the proper places in my brain we're changed...everything changed.
Took 30 minutes or so...and yes, I was running "Is this working yet" looped in my head.
To describe it: I could feel feeling less sorry for myself, more hopeful and then just thought after every negative/defeated thought left.
Replaced with feelings, emotion, none I'd ever felt.
First, I had more physical energy. And then I began to complain less and less about all things. I began to think of others and their happiness rather than my selfish old self.
Within 30 days, a complete and ,in my opinion, shocking, transformation.
I felt right. Not buzzed like caffeine or high like other stimulants....and I should know I had a pretty decent career as a user.
I could think several steps ahead of any situation. Multi-tasking skill greatly improved. I finished all things started and gave my best effort in all things.
That's last sentence might be what I'd say if asked "best part about taking Adderall?"
I always gave less than 100%, quit when things got difficult, avoid rather than address...you get it
Adderall makes me want to do,say,be, give , in all things, THE very best effort I can. Seriously!!! I now want to give my best version of whatever it is I'm doing. Washing dishes, cleaning...crap I used to never do, now I do it. Smiling, sometimes.
My Adderall experience...this medication has very real side effects that I do not underestimate.
For me, my vision has deteriorated quite a bit. Irritability is a big I get with any of the generics. Dry mouth and jaw clench are common. Muscle tension.
I encourage you to take the next step and put this together, make it happen somehow and hurry living as you were intended because it's pretty damn good.
Things I did early on and still do were to become consistent in my nutrition, exercise, sleep, etc.
But the cool thing is is that damn Adderall makes me want to do all those things anyway and do them well.
Cliche'...but this stuff has changed me for the better in so many ways.
It made me drink less, eat better, learn new things, workout more...it made me want to be the absolute best version of myself every damn day.
Nothing seems too hard, or out of my league anymore and that ain't how it was before Adderall.
This is my experience taking Adderall only. Not trying to push anyone to do anything.
Wow...bro you just laid it out there, didn't you? I respect that, though. All of those words you used to describe yourself are the same words I used describing myself....before I began taking Adderall. From the first pill, The fog cleared. I wasn't feeling high or wired...I was clear. And I ran with it. Respecting myself again, helping others instead of thinking of me and my wants.
Real talk...I felt like could do anything!....but not in an arrogant, cocky way, rather a quietly confident way.
The process: Find a psychiatrist that specializes in ADD, ADHD, Adult ADD, etc. At the initial visit, the shrink will give you a series of tests to determine if your answers warrant medication, specifically Adderall. Most shrinks will try you out for 30 days on a low dose, then re-evaluate.
Starting today....do your absolute best at getting this process started. Make some calls. Google some shrinks in your zip. Make an appointment. Get help including meds.
If taken properly along with some improved lifestyle choices, you will become the very best version of yourself.
Hello, Prinny! How are you?
It has been found that in some people with symptoms such as yours, adding a stimulant, such as Adderall can result in their being able to focus on the necessary tasks. There's no total answer as to why it works, but it does for many people.
This medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, headache, irritability, insomnia and anorexia.
Is there anything else I can help with?
