I just move here from phoenix where I was on Percocet 10mg, MS Contin(morphine sulfate 100mg), or synthetic opaite will work too bupanorphine, Tiban i think is on. and Soma. I don't have inscurance and I am looking for a Dr. or PM clinic that will write opiod medications. Anywhere in the Detroit Metro area would be nice. And since no Insurance I need it to be a cheap as possible. Also, I need to know ahead of time that the Dr will prescribe Percocet Oxycodone MS Dilaudid. I have been taking over 300 10mg Norco's a month for the pain and I know it is affecting my liver. Please if anyone can help me. And sorry about the spelling errors.
Re: Concerned citizen (# 16)
That was a great reply!Thank you for that. You have a good heart. No matter what med a person is taking, stopping that med is, for me, life threatening. She deserves a good doctor who has the guts to at least help with a taper plan. I am sure she has been judged enough.
That is EXACTLY what I was thinking! I am in the Royal Oak area and desperately looking for a doctor that will help me with legitimate, chronic pain. I have seen my doctor for 9 years and he FINALLY got me on a regimen that helps me to be able to work and function somewhat normally, and then he was stopped by the DEA and he is now going through the process with them and being evaluated-and I found this out when I called to get my refill for meds. I am days away from running out and I have been to three new doctors-with MRIs, surgery records from my accident, X-rays, and 9 years of monthly records..and raised blood pressure from PAIN..but NOBODY WILL HELP ME! I am really just trying to find a decent, compassionate doctor to treat me the reasonable way that I have been treated for the past 9 years-who knew it would be so difficult. Can you (or anyone else) please help me find a decent, compassionate doctor who is not afraid to treat a legitimate pain patient with documentation? I am a professional and I have insurance-but I am being treated like a jerk and refused service. Can you please help me? Thank you in advance for your time and consideration-and good luck.
Thank you T for the doctor's name. I will call and make a appointment and hopefully this doctor can help me.
you could try Dr iskandar in Southfield
Try Michigan Neurologists Association in Detroit. I have had some luck there.
I live in Michigan and I am looking for a new pain doctor, already went to one pain clinic that refused to treat me. I am on MS Contin 60mg three times a day, valium 10mg 1 tablet three to four times a day, and xanax 1mg at night for sleep. The doctor I am seeing now has lowered my xanax from 1 and a half mg to 1 mg, which I have been on the higher dose for 12 years and he won't change it back. I get nothing for breakthrough pain, which I have in the past when I was on a pain patch. If anyone knows of a good doctor in the downriver area I would appreciate any help. God bless all of us that life in constant pain.
I really agree with you. I been in chronic pain for years and had two neck surgeries; corpectomies with fusion c3-c7 and it still feels like nerves are pinching somewhere. I been on percocet since the first surgery which I never stopped hurting from and I'm tired of these no it all; heartless Drs thinking they know how I feel. My primary Dr left the country for a few months and no other Dr I been to has continued giving me percocet which I'm ok with as long as what they give me helps with the pain. A Dr gave me a nerve pill which didn't help at all and gave me meloxicam which only made my heart beat fast. I thought once i had my first surgery my life would be back to normal but instead I been in pain. I can't do fun things with my kids anymore and I definitely can't work in all this pain and I been on my job 19 years and I agree that america likes to control everything we do and don't care about the pain. I was told by 2 different surgeons I needed the surgery asap but since my life has been hell and so has the surgeon. I just wish I had my life back and pain free.
where is this Dr at. i have fibromyalgia it hurts like hell and i want to keep working,
Which county are you located? I got a doctor for you only problem is you gotta have pharmacy insurance.
I try & help people in pain as I moved & am looking for a new pain doc...it's HELL~he is treating me like a junkie & all I want (that I was taking in Michigan) are 3 10/325 oxycodone a day for my severe pain & you think I am asking for the damn world! When I lived in Oakland County, I went to Dr. Paese, He is EXCELLENT & WILL control your pain with meds when you need them injections or trigger points, ect. He has a good respectible Doctor & does NOT give you MORE than you need either. You will LOVE HIM!!!
YES THERE IS SOMETHING TO HELP LIVER PROBLEMS. i HAVE BEEN ON PAIN MEDS FOR FORTY YEARS, MY LIVER TEST COME BACK VERY GOOD. IT'S MILK THISTLE & GINGER ROOT YOU CAN GET THEM AT A VITAMIN STORE OR GNC STORE.

26/M/Thumb area MI. Does anyone know a doctor that can prescribe me paid meds without any bs? Sick of these doctors that only give you 2 7.5 norcos a day. Really need someone that can put me back on 240 a month. Got cash to pay them if needed (thats what this world has come to). Let me know if anyone knows a good way to do so. {edited for privacy}
Being a disabled vet an saying it makes it easier to get paun meds kinda makes me pissed off. First I do believe that Vietnam veterans are among the most overlooked vets, It was a bad war...I help an older Vietnam vet who was recognized for his service and multiple tours. He eould of been what we call special ops today..he trained to kill hand to hand, he has 14 deaths he struggles with to this day. He never used drugs of any nature, even tho he should of. He did drink some but not an alcoholic. He suffers from PTSD, his legs from the knee down are pure scars. The scars and pain come from running through the jungle bush the north Koreans would burn on purpose, when a bomb dropped he described how he had to run, run like hell to get away from the zone that would eradicate all oxygen in the area. The enemy knew these sharp burnt bushes would tear through their clothes injuring some enough to drop them before exiting that zone. He's 77 now yet those scars are extreme. He's been in pain all these years, the list of issues are many yet he takes a blood pressure med n nothing else. He walks over 8 miles per day in any weather we have. In Colorado that can be 115° Summer, -35° with wind chill in winter. Yet he's considered 30% disabled an receives 440$ month from the VA. I've appealed it, but no matter what I do he's not getting a response. This man is 100% disabled. He received a special baton only gave once a year to one vet aprox 9-11 years ago..he was one of the most dangerous men in war.. my compassion for some of our vets is extremely high, they've paid the ultimate price.yet its extremely difficult for me to say I think it's fair or equal for vets to abuse the system. To receive multiple drugs from multiple doctors while doing street drugs has created laws that prevent ppl like me who want to die daily as we are so UNDER MEDICATED it makes each day a choice if this is the day I'll put a bullet through my head. Pain is taken too lightly. So while SOME disabled vets are receiving 100% disability that means a 5,000$ automatic check from the VA, half of their home and car taxes are paid, they get paid to travel to n from the doctor, receive dental and vision, the rest of us who couldn't join the military, as we all can't or who'd run the bank the checks get cashed at, grocery stores, hospitals, road crews, basically anyone who wasn't in the service gets a fraction in disability compared to their benefits and now im reading...I was a vet so it was easy for me to abuse drugs now each state will soon be on a database that runs your name to make sure ppl aren't using 2-4 doctors, were given UA's to make sure they we're not using street drugs. The more I learn how easy it was for my neice to collect over 1200 month and receive multiple sources of help for a tiny ankle injury she had AFTER she left iraq where he job was to basically get drunk, as she was a office clerk on a secure base, it makes me sick some vets can admit how sleezy they REALLY are. My niece no exception. I view her as a worthless pile using the system. She never once was in harms way but tells ppl she was facing death daily. My ass! The letters and movies she sent me are not expressing any fear or (intelligence)..just a non stop party. She actually admits that it mad her mad at xmas one job of decorating military vehicles. That alone speaks to the safety zone she was in...the vehicle's were decorated!! My nephew in the 82nd airborne seen combat, he was one of the third (I don't know what it's called in military terms) group sent in when the war we are still in started. He does NOT use the system.yet like old Bill he is scared for life. Thousands are suffering who were injured are receiving little help with pain here in colorado as well, your post of all you wrote mr. vet makes me sick. I have no respect for your service or care less about your pain. I'd rather you suffered. when I think your one of many who created a living hell on earth for those of us who suffer much more than you..and than so easily say "it made it easier" how does your actions now affect the rest of us?
I'm going to start looking up major tragedies in the past, small aircraft crashes that made news, or maybe I'll say I sustained my injuries in a terrorist attack, think the doctor will pity me more and help me?? Lets all try it! I'll print your little post, add it to my book that im leaving behind the day I cant take no more pain! I'm listing each doctor who didn't take me seriously, along with a lot of video I take of ppl on SSD N SSI WHO I pay to help me take a bath n tidy my house, they talk about how much n easily they make money...yet back paid 20,000 by disability for faking. Funny thing is they to have the meds they need, and DON'T need. They sell them! Hopefully someone will send a photo of my family along with my journal to a newpaper listing each dr who decided my pain was "not that bad"!...I also hope the dictors, yes d***s nit docs suffer deeply when my autopsy report shows just how bad my spine REALLY was...im seriously disgusted at this "vet" ... thanks so much for the hell you helped create for so so many of us being undertreared. I hope your still alive when my pain limits are met, if you don't think you have bad blood on your hands yet, remember you will upon my suicide...if anyone whos being under treated medically for their pain an the excuse is: too many ppl abused the system, understand why I said my blood will be on your hands, others will only see it as it was my choice, you haven't suffeted long and hard enough yet. I'll remember you vet the next time I see a real vet with honor..that'll be tomorrow.
Look at the recent post
Dr pinson city medical Wednesday in Southgate, rest of the week in Madison heights. I honestly recommend Dr Nathan bining in Livonia and Southgate, get on suboxone saved my life. Broke five vertebrae herniated four disks, bulging one so bad cutting off my sciatic. One suboxone strip a day no pain. Really I've been on the real ocs, morphine, dilaudid, methadone, soma, fentanyl patches and oxy and hydro. One point in nashville I was getting 240 30s from one Dr, 90 30s from another. Plus90 xanax from each and somas and adderall, not to mention the valium, H, and crack. Been off all that except the necessity for over a year. I'm a disabled veteran and it's rough. Makes it too easy to obtain meds tho
Would you mind telling me who the Dr is that you found? I have a total of 9 herniated or bulging disks in my back and neck plus severe arthritis and fibromyalgia. My Dr had me on 8mg Dilaudid 3 times a day and 6 Norco a day. Then he quit with NO NOTICE. I'm just screwed and paying Dr's cash that won't give me anything. It's horrible. Your help would be appreciated.
OK so who is the Dr?
If you stop your meds quickly you will get sick. My doctor went on vacation and I've been out of meds for a week.. The pains so severe I almost ended my life. My mother gave me part of her script which is a fourth of what I take normally just to take the throwing up away.. So sorry for your pain, I know how hard it is and how people judge you because that can't see it or feel it.. Good luck.. Also I don't know any doctor that would see an uninsured patient.. Sorry
