This antibiotic is a generic for Bactrim, it is used to treat various types of infections and it may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea.

If it's working for you, you shouldn't see any worsening after being on it for a full 24 hours and you should start to see improvement after 3 full days of taking it.
