Going Off Xarelto For Button Turp Surgery

My husband is scheduled to have a Button TURP surgery. The Urologist would like him to be off Xarelto for at least 5days.He is on it for Afib. The cardiologist won't approve that til he can see him. Has anyone had this surgery? How long after surgery were you able to resume taking it or were you put on another blood thinner after?

I've not had this surgery, but I can tell you that there is no precise guideline for when to put someone back on the Xarelto, afterwards. It can vary from person to person, depending on how much bleeding they experience and when it stops.

However, usually, it's only stopped for about 24 hours, before a procedure, but he needs to follow the instructions from his urologist.

The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache and easy bruising.
